The art of project management

Project management is the endeavour of bringing people together to achieve an innovative common goal within limited time. There are many approaches to carry out projects, but in any case the art stays in structuring the team of people so that they can give their best for the project.

  • A project management analogy

A project is like a human being: it is born, it has a DNA that describes the overall goals, but then after the first days it start developing a character and personality defined by the people working together as a team. Sometimes it gets sick and needs treatments to restore it, but if well treated it will be stronger for the future diseases. It needs food and rewards; it needs new development and some freedom for creativity. It also needs discipline though, otherwise it will get slothful, go over budget, or produce low quality results. In order to monitor and educate the project, there are some vital parameters to check, but some other parameters are not measurable. A good project manager can feel the status of the project just spending as much time as possible with it, with the people of the team.

  • Secrets of success.

Success is earned, one step at a time. One of the most invaluable skills a person can have is being able to clearly express what they want. You have the courage that leads to success. As long as you’re learning, you’ll never fail.

The most successful people don’t look back to see who’s watching.

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fail.”

    —Confucius

Look for opportunities to lift others up along the way. Having the proper mindset, moving outside your comfort zone, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, and staying focused have been key drivers of success for thousands of years.

About Me

My experience as project manager startet in 2008 when I was 26 years old with a multimillion European funded project with 20 international institutions. Since then I made many trial and error attempts which consolidated my seniority in this art of collaborating with your teams.

I can assist you and your team with several approaches including traditional project management (Gantt chart, project budgeting, WBS, etc.), AGILE (Scrum, eXtreme project management, Scale agile, etc.) and other project management skills such as effective meeting preparation and moderation.

My experience has also given me the honour to coach many junior colleagues and that has become the passion to pass my knowledge.
